Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) has issued a recall for certain utility vehicles due to a defect in the electrical system. A missing diode in the Altec power distribution module can cause the chassis engine to start unintentionally.
Which Products Are Affected
The recall affects approximately 57 units. The following models and years are included:
- Altec Digger Derrick: Model years 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.
- Altec AM Series Aerial Device: Model years 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.
What You Should Do
Altec will provide owners with instructions to inspect the power distribution module for the missing diode. If the diode is missing, the company will provide a repair kit free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed by April 3, 2026. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. The internal reference number for this recall is CSN-3281.
