Hyundai Motor America has issued a recall for certain Palisade vehicles due to a safety defect involving the side curtain airbags. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the side curtain airbags for third-row occupants may deploy improperly in the event of a crash. This malfunction results in the vehicles failing to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 226, which pertains to “Ejection Mitigation.”
